Alina Freger
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Experience: Alina oversees the development and advancement of products. With over 20 years at Computrition, she has played a pivotal role in the company’s transition to mobile-based solutions. Alina holds an MS in Computer Science from St. Petersburg Technical University (Russia) and enhanced her education with classes from MIT and Harvard. She values the dedication and intelligence of her colleagues, embracing the challenges and growth opportunities in R&D.
Outside of Work: In her free time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, trivia, reading, and exploring new cuisines as an avid foodie.
Dominic Mittelholzer
Sr. Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Experience: Dominic plays a key role in supporting Sales & Marketing efforts across North America and beyond, driven by his passion for collaboration and business growth. Before joining Computrition in 2008 as the Northeast Director of Sales, Dominic gained extensive business development experience within the foodservice industry at US Foodservice, FoodPro Corporation, and Vistar Corporation. His mission is to forge lasting partnerships to provide software solutions that enhance operational performance, improve patient nutrition outcomes, streamline workflows, and boost revenue.
Outside of Work: Dominic enjoys family time, shopping sprees at Nordstrom, and savoring a Dirty Tito’s Martini.
Eric Lipsitt
President
Experience: Eric is committed to ensuring that Computrition’s software empowers customers to lead their industries. His diverse experience in business development and product advancement strengthens his ability to impact clients positively. With a deep understanding of enterprise foodservice automation, Eric collaborates across departments to deliver solutions that address customer pain points and enhance operations. Inspired by industry leaders and foodservice professionals, he believes in Computrition’s mission to serve its customers effectively.
Outside of Work: In his spare time, he enjoys running Ragnar Relays to U2’s greatest hits and actively participates in his town’s coed softball league.
Gen Gagnon
Executive Vice President of Client Relations
Experience: Gen began her Computrition journey over 20 years ago as an implementation manager, guiding clients through seamless system transitions. A registered dietitian with a degree from the University of Montreal, her expertise in project management and sales led to the creation of the Account Relationship Management team, ensuring proactive customer support post-implementation.
Outside of Work: Now based in the Pacific Northwest, she enjoys running Portland’s scenic trails, participating in races while traveling, and working from her backyard “she shed” office.
Jennifer Higgins
Sr. Director of Marketing
Experience: Jennifer leads with passion, creativity, and a dedication to meaningful storytelling. With a B.A. in Mass Communication from Purdue University, she has spent over a decade honing her expertise in marketing and communication. She thrives on fostering a collaborative environment where her team feels empowered to create impactful customer experiences.
Outside of Work: Jennifer enjoys being the fun aunt, traveling to new places, and listening to live music.
Jenny Cox, MS, RDN, LD
Director of Account Relationship Management
Experience: Jenny leads a team of account managers dedicated to customer collaboration and advocacy. With a B.S. in Nutrition Sciences-Dietetics from UC Berkeley and an MS in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, she brings expertise from clinical nutrition and hospital foodservice management. Since joining Computrition in 2012 as a trainer, Jenny has advanced through project management and account relationship roles.
Outside of Work: Away from work, she enjoys family time, watching baseball, thrilling roller coasters, and the great outdoors.
Kate Arvanitis, RD
Sr. Director of Program
Management & Quality
Experience: Kate leads the QA team and oversees release processes. She earned her B.S. in Food and Nutrition: Dietetics, with a minor in Biology, from Framingham State University, graduating Cum Laude. Since joining Computrition in 2013, she has held eight roles, gaining deep expertise in the product lifecycle. With roots in customer-facing work, she prioritizes usability, adoption, and high-quality releases.
Outside of Work: Kate is a sports enthusiast who especially enjoys the athletic pursuits of her niece and nephew. An animal lover and whiskey connoisseur, she loves family trips, especially to California and Aruba. She finds balance and enjoyment in good company, good pets, and a well-cut yard.
Michael Andersen
Director of Major Accounts
Experience: With over three decades at Computrition, Michael has held roles spanning training, software design, and account management, now overseeing Major Accounts, with a specialization in government clients, including the USMC and Military Treatment Facilities. A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. in Hospitality Management and a Minor in Business Administration, his early career included a unique tenure at Disneyland as a Pirate, Butler, Canoeist, and Jungle Boat Captain.
Outside of Work: Michael enjoys cruising, running, and triathlons, with a deep passion for baseball, football, and Formula 1. When not traveling, you’ll find him relaxing by the pool with his two dogs, Kona and Kara.
Michael “MJ” Etkind
Chief Architect / Senior Director of R&D
Experience: Michael leads a development team and helps shape the company’s technical direction, focusing on the DataArc and plug-in product suite. He appreciates Computrition’s close-knit, collaborative environment and finds fulfillment in contributing to the healthcare vertical space.
Outside of Work: In his spare time, MJ enjoys mountain biking with his older son, listening to music with his younger son, and snowboarding with his wife—with hopes of returning to Ultimate Frisbee in the future.
Pina Daniel
Vice President of Product
Experience: Pina leads the Product Management team at Computrition. She began her career testing educational software and progressed through roles in media production, project management, and ultimately product management. With deep experience across the software development lifecycle, she brings a practical, end-to-end understanding of how to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Pina holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Art History from Tufts University and a Product Management Certificate from Cornell University.
Outside of Work: Pina enjoys traveling with her husband and two daughters, collecting sea glass along the coast, and going to concerts.
Robert Vanian
Vice President of Support Services
Experience: Robert oversees the Application, Technical, Oracle, and POS Support teams. A graduate of California State University Northridge with a B.S. in Business Management, he joined Computrition in 2014 after 14 years in operations management with national retailers. He is an advocate of excellent customer service and values Computrition’s innovative and collaborative culture.
Outside of Work: Off the clock, he loves spending time with his family, attending concerts, and supporting LA sports teams.
T.J. Shields, MS RD LDN PMP
Vice President of Professional Services
Experience: T.J. oversees project and implementation management, as well as technical PS. Before his current role, T.J. contributed to more than 75 successful software go-lives as an implementation specialist and project manager. He earned his B.S. in Dietetics, Nutrition, and Food Systems from Northern Illinois University, completed his Dietetic Internship at Saint Louis University, and later received his M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from NIU. As a Registered Dietitian, T.J. brings expertise in clinical dietetics, patient care, and foodservice. For over a decade, he taught Normal Nutrition as an adjunct faculty member at Joliet Junior College.
Outside of Work: T.J. resides in a Chicago suburb with his lovely wife, three energetic sons, and a very lazy cat. An avid runner, he loves participating in marathons and races.
Tom Veasy
Sr. Director of Research and Development
Experience: Tom is responsible for overseeing the development and advancement of the SuitePoint! retail product suite and has been instrumental in the transition to web-based offerings. He has over 20 years of experience in software development management with prominent organizations like Northrop Grumman and Booz Allen Hamilton. Tom earned an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from DTU (Denmark) and later an MBA in General Management/Finance from Cornell Johnson School.
Outside of Work: In his free time, Tom enjoys being with family and friends, exploring nature, reading, and relishing good food, especially buffalo wings and a cold one.
